Can't really complain about the Bell Centre. The place is huge! The fans are crazy! The atmosphere is amazing! Going to see a Habs game when you're a fan (even if they lost) is an experience worth every penny. But be warned, you will need lots of pennies! Habs tickets are expensive as it is but once you get there.... More

My boyfriend, brother and I attended our first Habs game at the Bell Centre this month and we had a blast! First of all, there are no bad seats there, we sat one row away from the back wall and we were still able to see everything. The sound system is also great so you can hear everything and the... This was our first Montreal hockey game and the enthusiasm of the fans was outstanding!!!! This place is very large and the day we went, there wasn't an empty seat to be found! For being so large and crowded, we found it to be very clean. The bathrooms were also very clean!!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially... More

I hadn't been to the Bell Center in years, and never for a comedy show. First, I was very much impressed with the increased security measures implemented... multiple metal detectors and everyone with a bag was searched — if you didn't have a purse, you could take a quicker line. If you had a purse (I didn't), every nook and... More

Bell Centre is great for Hockey, even if you aren't a hockey nut it's great to catch a game. Outside is many statues of the Habs greats and inside has murals of past champions. There are many stores selling Habs gear, but can't comment on food and drink prices. There are 2 metro stations underground that are handy after the... More

Wonderful venue to watch a hockey game We were in the Desjardins club seats Excellent vantage point to watch the fast paced action. Be prepared for long line ups for beer, food and washrooms though

The Bell Centre is the place to go to see the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Team. It's always exciting to see the home team win! The Bell Centre is also a great venue to see top performers like Adele, Lady Gaga, etc. You can enjoy a nice meal at the restaurant for some shows. Otherwise, you can get your typical fast... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
