A jewel nestling in the St. Lawrence River, Parc Jean-Drapeau is without doubt one of Montreal most precious assets and a one-of-a-kind place in Canada. Discover this riche urban park spread amongst Sainte-Hélène and Notre-Dame islands and enjoy outdoor activities including kilometres of cycling paths, the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, public art, colourful gardens and walking trails that provide an amazing view of downtown Montréal. The park is also home to partners like the Casino de Montréal, La Ronde, Stewart Museum, the Biosphere and environment museum. Heir of Expo 67 and the 1976 Olympic Games, Parc Jean-Drapeau continues to inspire million of visitors annually by the quality of its facilities including its rental venues and diversified programming, both cultural (Osheaga, Heavy Montreal, Piknic Electronik, winter festival, etc.) and sports (F1 Canadian Grand Prix, dragon boat races, etc.). Due to the development of a new and modern natural amphitheatre, construction works are currently underway in the southern sector of St. Helens’ Island restricting access to certain activity and mobility around the park. The use of public transportation to get to the Parc Jean-Drapeau is strongly suggested. Visit our website to plan your visit and learn more about how to get to each attraction.

The group dined at the French Pavilion. Several walked the distance to the site of the old Canadian Pavilion; not much remains, but "What a lovely park!!!" on St. Helen's Island.

The Parc Jean-Drapeau on Ile-Ste-Hélène and Ile Notre-Dame sits on these 2 islands in the middle of the St-Lawrence River and are easily accessible by either the Jacques-Cartier bridge (St-Helen's island) or the Concorde bridge (N-Dame Island). Both were the site of Expo'67 and still...More

We went whilst on coach tour of the city, so we only had a very brief visit. Some interesting things to look at but would have liked more time.

Love this island, lots to do on it, really beautiful and great to explore. La Ronde, biodome, isectarium, planetarium, botanical gardens, Osheaga. So much to do and absolutely worth a visit. Plus it's easy to get to by metro.

The islands of Saint-Helene and Notre-Dame together
make up the anchored fabric of Parc Jean-Drapeau. The
mostly man-made grounds were built to be the site of
the 1967 World's Fair, and the chiefly car-free space
still retains its inherited carnival character. A
wonderland of foliage and flora awaits at the Jardins
des Floralies, with its expanse of pond-marked
wetlands making it perfect for hiking, nature walks,

Hi! I would say that visitors stay about 3 hours at the Parc if they visit a Museum (Stewart and Biosphere), have a picnic and do some cycling on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. You should check the website parcjeandrapeau as... More
