Located on Ile Notre-Dame, the 4.361 km-long Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve hosts the Grand Prix du Canada, as well as biking, in-line skating, jogging and walking enthusiasts! PARTIAL CLOSURE The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve will be partially closed to cyclists, pedestrians and inline skates enthusiasts from May 15 to September 4, 2017 due to the mounting, the hosting and demounting of major events, to maintenance work done on the circuit in preparation for the Grand Prix du Canada, and to the STM bus circuit to Jean-Dore beach. This partial closure means two things: • The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve will be accessible to cyclists, pedestrians and inline skates enthusiasts for only 43 non consecutive days this summer, from May 15 to September 4, 2017. Visite the Parc Jean-Drapeau website for the detailed schedule. • A portion of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, the "Hairpin" area, will be inaccessible at all time time from May 15 to September 4, 2017.

*OVERVIEW* A fantastic weekend on a classic Formula 1 track, not expensive, a lot of walking and long cues; open grandstand not covering from weather, un confortable benches without backrest (except Grandstand 1); besides the cons a lot of fun an unforgettable weekend. ___________Details__________ *TICKET*...More

We had planned this trip for two years and sought advice on the best viewing stand which came down to 11 or 12. Having spoken to a local at a previous race and from research stand 11 looked better. The company would not allow you...More

I've now attended the F1 race in Montreal twice. It's so easy to get to the track by taking the metro, but be prepared to walk a lot once you get there. The closest grandstands to the metro station are probably at the hairpin, but...More

Easy to get to thanks to the great Metro. Easy to find your seats with good staff. Only real grumble was the price of the beer $8can for half a Heineken !!!. Overall very good

Great track, easy to get to via the Metro. Love the old style tracks where fans are close to the track. Friday morning was a mess though...only one entrance open, 40+ min wait from metro to ticket scan.

My first visit to Montreal and an F1 race. It sure is a long walk from the entrance to pit road. The sun and heat had everyone searching for shade, so many people were packed behind the food stands under the few trees around. Much...More

Can I bring a backpack into the race? And if so what size does it need to be.

Yes you can, at all times; I have brought one every day I've gone, every year I've gone. They do check it, though.

I have tickets in Row C in grandstand across from pits. Is Row C three rows from the top (high) or three rows from the bottom?

Hello, I am going to attend the F1 race. I recall that last year, rather then using the Metro to leave, we walked to the south end of the island, and then I think to the south east, where my family picked us up with the car. This allowed us to make a fast exit. Looking at the map, I guess we must have been in the St. Lambert area. If we were to stay out there, can one ENTER the track in the same way? Would tickets be inspected somewhere near the south end of the property, or would we have to walk all the way up to the gates where the crowds exiting the Metro gain access? Thanks, Mike
