I had heard that this place had strippers that don't look like 15 year olds. It was a lie! All these guys looked like high school students. It's a little creepy. And fyi, they charge tourists more than locals for extra services. (I was hanging at the bar with some great local guys). The beer was reasonably priced. If fully... More

Dancers are hot, crowd is good, prices are good, but the short, skinny bartender with the shaved head, trimmed beard, and mustache at the middle bar is horribly rude. Ruined it for us. I've never complained about bar staff before but he was rude for absolutely no reason.

This is a regular destination for us on that rare occasion we travel to Montreal. The men here are beautiful, though they need to work on their dance skills. They tend to strut around more than dance. Obviously, their goal is to get you to pay for a private dance, but they will not waste their time when they see... More

I visited Campus and its next door competitor Campus on a recent trip to Montreal. I had not been to a male strip bar before, and have to admit that both clubs were pleasant surprises, did not feel sleazy, and everyone was very friendly. It so happened that I was at Stock on Saturday and Campus on Friday and Sunday... More

Attempted entry to this bar with my female friend, we were both denied access because of her gender. Apparently women are only allowed on certain days- so take note. Otherwise, seemed like it could've been an interesting experience despite the seedy atmosphere

A group of six of us arrived Saturday night and were lucky enough to have a front view of the stage at the main bar. My partner and I were ordering doubles, and our other friends had been ordering quite frequently also. After tipping the bartender one dollar after one round of drinks, my tip was refused. Thats right; the... More

Yes the men go full monte. Yes they are beautiful....but they are trere for tips. If you go with one dont be surprised when they ask for cash. And watch your wallet and phone. I'm sure they are just perfect if you can pay. I wasn't alone and made sure they knew it. Still one kept coming back.

Went on lady's night (Sunday) with my brother. He tells me on regular nights (guys only its better). I found that th e drinks were a bit expensive and the dance floor a little small. There were only about 6 guys who rotated in shifts. See me with my clothes on, here I am in without my shirt and only... More

After a day of shopping and late lunch on St. Catherine, I stopped by Campus around 4PM for a quick drink and to check it out. I didn't stay too long as when I got upstairs one of the dancers who goes by the name of Kovy, was assaulting a patron and trying to throw him down the long steep... More

This appeared to be a nice bar, friendly staff, inexpensive drinks, and handsome shirtless guys walking around. I liked the stage set up, and the dancers were a nice mix. Supposedly there are more floors, but we never explored. Disappointingly, there were very few patrons on the Tuesday night we visited. We plan to make another visit later in the... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
