I've been many times. Because religious and for an appreciation of architecture. You won't visit many places like this. It's cavernous and visaully stunning. Great views of Montreal and surrounding area. Food is pretty good.

We decided to visit the church by climbing up the stairs to the top. The beautiful cathedral ceilings gives a heavenly feel to the building. There are various sections and is very peaceful. Wasn't too crowded during our visit.

This is a really nice church with picturesque view on top. The best part is, it's free! Plus, you get to learn the history of St. Joseph. There are nice souvenir items you can buy inside at a fair price.

Not so far from midwestern Indiana (USA), but a Catholic holy place, the Oratory doesn't cater to English-speaking people, so it feels a bit mysterious as if people come from all over to bask in its serenity at the top of the hill. We saw...More

Built at the time when church and state were synonymous in Quebec culture, Saint Joseph oratory is one of the last Byzantine basilica’s built in modern time. Ironically the architecture reflects its roots in the time of Constantine when church and star were one. Walk...More
