The price of the ticket were I purchased was about $55 for two consecutive days until 4pm. This is a hit or miss, it really depends on the tour guide you have for the ride. Some are great, and some are not so great. They were all knowledgeable about the city and each had something different to say about each... More

We were looking for an easy way to see a lot of the city, without having to drive through unfamiliar streets. The 3.5 hour tour fit the bill. We got to see a lot of the city quickly, including the viewing area of Mont Royal, which we had never seen on previous visits because of the time it would take... More

We booked a day tour to Quebec city from Montreal on Gray Line and and it was a pleasant experience. It's a 12hr day trip (3hr road trip - one way). The bus ride was comfortable and the driver was very sweet and knowledgeable. We got a 45 min walking tour of Quebec lower town, then quick 30min stop at... More

No. Don't. Just. Don't. Busses are old, falling apart, small and overcrowded. They don't have enough busses so they only come every 30-ish mins; there is limited upper deck seating and it is not conducive to viewing from the first deck--- you can't see anything. When sitting inside the bus, it's hot and muggy. Our driver was rude and pushy... More

I booked a one day tour to Quebec City with GrayLine. The driver who picked me from the hotel to the Coach was patient and friendly. The tour started with us boarding the bus smoothly and quickly. The driver was informative and helpful. he gave us information and made the drive to Quebec fun. The local tour guide was excellent.... More

Took the 2 hour Gray Line Hop On/Off tour. $55 CAD, and it's a toss up whether it was worth it. The gal doing the talking switched from French to English and back so fast it was hard to catch what she was saying. Part of that was the chatter around me from others, and the so-so sound system. Had... More

The whole experience was confusing and disappointing from beginning to end. If you visit the website, it says that you can book online, but there is no much information about it. The video on the site, shows areas of Montreal that are not visited by the bus (Habitat 67, or the Montreal Casino, for instance), and the map indicates there... More

I wasn't picked up for a day trip booked through this company. I was unaware that I was supposed to confirm pick up 24 hours before the trip. I assumed that when I signed up for the excursion and gave them my information including the address of where I expected to be picked up and dropped off, that that was... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
