Talk about a great display! What a treat that we were able to catch the queens of Egypt before it left Montreal. Super informative and a great setup! Not to mention all the sarcophagi! Incredible!

The remains of the "city below city", carefully preserved, provide an historical understanding of Montreal. This permanent exhibit itself is interesting. During our trip, the museum had an extraordinary exhibit on the Queens of Egypt.

This was a very interesting and extremely well thought out museum. There was a lot to see and learn for everyone about the origins of the city and how it became what it is today.

If you want to understand the heritage of this fine city, this is the place for you. I really enjoyed the multi-media presentation at the start and then going down into the bowels of the museum, which are also the footings of the old city....More

We were pleasantly surprised by this museum. I really liked that they built the museum around an actual archaeological site, so as we walked through the museum, we saw what was left of the old buildings and learned what the buildings were used for. I...More

Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to

festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a
