Worth a visit if in Charlottetown. Articles of Confederation of Canada were signed here by the nation's founders.

I am certain this will be an "Excellent" worthy visit once renovations are completed a couple of years from now. I'm afraid I missed any live performance that I believe takes place, but found the video presentation within the Arts centre to be well done. There is a phone app (Explora Province House PEI, from Parks Canada) that provides a... More

We just came back from an east coast road trip and were pretty disappointed that this was closed for renovations. The review by ArdyT from Abbotsford hits the nail on the head so I won't go through just to reiterate. Pretty disappointing.

Province House was closed for renovations when we were there, and will be until at least 2018. Okay, I get that old buildings need to be renovated. However, the tacky looking fencing around the front and back of the building was completely unnecessary. They ruined any photos that I took of the building (okay, I can photoshop the fencing out,... The video is in French and English on separate film showings. Well done synopsis of the history of Confederation .

Province house is under renovation for a while, but there was a costumed actor in front for photos, who directed us to the re-created room nearby. There is a large table with a few costumed people playing games, and a video which requires headphones. It was sort of interesting, although disappointing not to be in the actual space.

Good place for kids. Lots of angles for good pictures. Close to the harbour as well. Something available for all ages in that area.

You can see the outside of the famous building but the interior has been closed for a while and will continue to be closed for more time while it is restored. Next door at the Art Center they have a 20 minute film about the history of the Confederation and the famous building next door.

This is closed for repairs right now. But they took the time to simulate the room where confederation was debated and prepared a video (which was excellent- all local actors used!) for us to watch about the events surrounding confederation. Very nice!
