How surprised I was to visit Charlottetown recently and to see that Province House is STILL under renovations. This has been going on for years. I'm sure locals and tourists alike will be happy to see this completed.
excellent exhibition and reconstructed chamber, with film telling you all about the making of Canada. We were told later that the story has been "cleansed" as most of it was done in the pub/ale house!!!
This is a very historic site in Canadian history. In 1864 the meeting that set out the basic plan for Confederation that took place in 1867, took place in this building.

I visited the temporary location on the upper level of the Charlottetown Confederation Centre of the Arts in the offseason. They had displays and an interactive video explaining the Charlottetown Conference and those involved.

My wife and I were most excited about going through the Province House, particularly as it was during the 150th celebrations for the birthplace of Confederation. We were most disappointed when we turned up for a tour and found that it was closed for renovation....More
