Came across this park almost by chance as we tried to follow the coast. Hesitated when we realised it was a national park, with a toll collection booth at the entrance. Remembered that we had a pass saying that entrance to national parks was free...More

The drive is pretty as it follows a spit along the ocean. Amazingly there are some dense thickets of pine trees at times between the road and the ocean views. Several lighthouses and beaches.

We stopped here to visit the old farm site that inspired the first Anne of Green Gables novel. In real life, the farm belonged to Lucy Maud Montgomery's cousins. There is a short film in the barn depicting the history and you can tour the...More

We camped with our 10 and 12 year olds in Cavendish campground for 4 nights right by the water. Gorgeous and peaceful, and so great for kids to play free-range on the wide beach after intensive city tourism in Quebec. The facilities are clean and...More

We enjoyed a nice walk on the beach. There were very few people, a good day to enjoy nature. The facilities were also excellent.

Very impressed with the National Parks in the Maritime Provinces. This one no exception. I give it a four because despite there being WiFi at the Visitor Center, I could not hook up to it and the passwords I was given just would not work....More

Wife and I walked to the dunes. It is a long walk, but if you have time and the weather is nice - why not enjoy nature, we did. I will warn people that a walk to the dunes is a hike...not strenuous, but it...More

We were there last week in September and did notice any transportation. We had our own car so we were not looking for it either. We were late in the season and most places closed for the season. Truly loved having the park... More

Actually we were just visiting for the day. We stayed at a cottage in park corner, near Kensington.
