We spent a couple of hours walking the boardwalk over to the sand dunes It is a pleasant, easy walk, until the last section, which requires a short scramble over sand bags and some tricky steps over a short hill. There are great photo opportunities...More

The walk from the parking lot near Greenwich on the north eastern part of the park is less populated than the area near Cavendish. The walk will take about an hour or so and passes over old farmland, through woods, and over a wooden boardwalk...More

The views here are worth the trip even when it’s too cold to swim. It’s a manageable size to explore and around every corner another stunner of a scene.

The hike out from the parking area along the Greenwich Dunes Trail is not far, just under 5 km. The floating boardwalk portion might be 500m in length.
