Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Rented an apartment via Air B&B in the entertainment district. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops.

If you are looking for good restaurants, bars, clubs or lounges, do your research, there are much better places in the city than those found in the "Entertainment District"

If you have tickets to a play or a concert it's worth the trip. For dinner or lunch, I would venture a little north of King St for better restaurants. St. Patrick subway stop only 1 short block away. I love live theatre & concerts. There are often children's concerts at Roy Thompson Hall & you might be able to catch something like The Lion King. For seating at Roy thompson Hall, if you aren't obsessed with seeing the whole orchestra while you're listening to the music, the cheaper seats are just as good as the best seats. There are often short concerts at noon that are free.....check the internet or the newspaper. For the Royal Alexander Theatre.....get good seats on main floor, especially if you are taller than 5'6". I had to leave a good play because we were in the first balcony & I was getting cramps in my legs. Don't go to the top balccony to sve money....we call them the "nose-bleeders". This is a very old theatre with few washroom & public spaces......so go to the washroom before the play. Having said all this, I still love this theatre. One suggestion if you want to save money on tickets, get the very last row of the orchestra if some are available. These seats are elevated & are the best seats in the house.....a Torontonian secret.

Unless you really like being surrounded by douchbags stay away from the Entertainment District. It is filled with awful people and when the clubs close can be quite violent. Also stay away from King West.

Thank you for your feedback. The Toronto Entertainment District has undergone many positive changes in recent years. Intensified residential development, sustained commercial growth, and an increased number of large public events have all contributed positively to the evolution.
Our District is home to renowned attractions, major league sports, performing arts, prestige hotels, dynamic restaurants and much, much more. Visitors will continue to enjoy an unparalleled variety of outstanding cultural events as the Toronto Entertainment District evolves and progresses.
The Business Improvement Area, the Toronto Police Service and nightclub owners work together very closely finding ways to provide a safe, secure experience for all visitors. It is very encouraging that Toronto’s Entertainment District now offers a much more safe environment than comparable locales in large North American cities. Feedback is very important to us so please do continue to provide it.

There is a lot to see and do in this area. There are several theatres that present Broadway shows, lots of excellent restaurants and shops. The ball park (Rogers Center) is here along with some green space around Roy Thompson Hall. The area is easily accessed by walking from the PATH or above ground from Union Station. The subway serves the area (St. Andrews station) as well as the King Streetcar. King Street, the heart of the district, has no parking on it and cars cannot travel more than one block on the street without being forced to make a turn onto a side street. A great place to stroll on a summer night.

In the Entertainment district you could spend a day a night a week exploring.
Clubs, cafes, shopping, theatres, restaurants, spas, hotels what ever you are looking for it will be there.
And the range of options gives everyone a choice. Parking is expensive so take the subway and walk or walk or the street car.
have fun, be safe, be polite.

Walked around this district for a few hours. Nice restaurants and clubs. Theaters showing live shows as well. Even Broadway shows. Mostly young locals enjoying their city.
