I drove up to see the sunrise over Toronto. Of course, it was a cold December Sunday, and the clouds didn’t let the sun do it’s thing. It’s a fair distance from the entrance to the southern tip. I brought my cycle. The park seems...More

This is one of my favourite places in Toronto. Open on Saturday and Sunday only (we tried to get there on a weekday and got severely reprimanded, so don't even try). Perfect for cyclists, who can get to the "nice part" quickly. If you walk,...More

I am a Torontonian who has lived close to this park for almost 20 years. I've been there in all seasons and all times of the day and night. It is not your typical postcard-perfect park, but rather a strange but wonderful work in progress....More

This "park" has lots of dry grass, rocks, pebbles and couple of trees. It's extremely hot to walk here during summer. Even at a cooling temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, the high UV will turn you 3 shades darker spending an afternoon walk here. There's...More

This park is in fact an artificial peninsula built on construction debris. Shoreline and smaller trails are littered with old bricks and construction wires. That's the creepy part. But the park offers paved trails - perfect for biking. Spectacular views of the Toronto skyline especially...More

New York has Central, London has Hyde, Vancouver has Stanley and mark my words, in another decade this will be up there too. It's been a slow motion creation out of landfill, almost by accident, but it has wildlife, views which remind me of Van...More

I rode with a friend from the city out here. What a great way to get some exercise, explore nature, and take in the views.

Suuuuper cool that we have such a neat urban bird sanctuary. Because the walk to the tip of the park is quite long, you seldom see people on foot here. It is used primarily my bikers. Bikers: watch for snakes pleases, saw a few crushed...More

great to go biking and spend some time at the lake. Loved the landfill beach with washed off brick formations, looked almost like pieces of art. Great view of Toronto skyline.

Ideal place for bike ride or walk, to watch birds in nature or make wonderful pictures of sunset with Toronto skyline.

Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination
for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip
and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with
a strong student influence from the Ryerson University
Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in
flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities,
with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to
Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of
