Classical, jazz, pop, opera, and world music are right at home in Koerner Hall. Its high ceiling and first-rate projection and communication technology make it perfect for films, lectures, and educational or corporate conferences. With its layered ribbon of wood forming a floating ceiling canopy, integrating an acoustic reflector, performance lighting, and technical bridges, Koerner Hall provides a dramatic yet intimate ambience between the audience and performers. The spectacular glass lobbies welcome guests to Koerner Hall and offer an extraordinary view of the city.

The venue is great for a concert and perfect for a recital. Their seatings and acoustic were just great.

Koerner Hall is stunningly good, and we have been there many times now to enjoy the events it hosts. But the smaller Mazzoleni Hall in the same building, though an older part of it, should not be despised. Once the chapel of McMaster University before that institution moved to Hamilton in 1930, its acoustics are very good. Within eight days... More

Spent a magical evening at Koerner Hall in the company of Ladysmith Black Mambazo from Durban, South Africa. The group's exquisite harmonies were showcased beautifully by the hall's amazing acoustics. The hall feels cosy, despite having soaring ceilings clad in waves of honey-coloured wooden panels. The seats in the parterre were very comfortable and offered great sight-lines. No matter what... More

This is the best wedding venue I’ve been to. The ballroom at Royal Conservatory of Music is classic elegance, as is the entire premises, inside and out. All the amenities were luxurious. The dinner was superb. Based on the customizable wedding package selected, the total cost was $525 per person. The entire reception, dinner, and dancing was seamlessly perfect. We... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
