My husband and I did this food tour on Valentine's Day and it exceeded our expectations! We live in downtown Toronto and go to Kensington Market often but the tour featured almost all new restaurants! Audrey is a very knowledgeable tour guide. She knows the history and origin of every food and of course chocolate and makes it into a... More

While usually Valentine day is associated with couples-only - as oppose to groups - activities, this year we decided to try something different. Audrey made sure we never regretted our decision! Well-crafted tour of small group of people across one of the most exciting Toronto districts provided us with unique opportunity to visit holes-in-the-walls and local fixtures we would definitely... The past few months I've been emailing back and forth with Audrey from Tasty Tours to create a customized, surprise birthday party for my mom. My mom is a chocolate fanatic so i wanted to do something a little different, incorporating chocolate somehow. I came across Tasty Tours online and Audrey was so helpful right from the beginning, coming up... More

This was a fun chocolate tour that stopped at 6 locations. Some of the locations were what you would expect from this kind of tour, such as Soma, Nadege Patisserie or Odile Chocolat, whereas others, like Death in Venice and Sanko were a pleasant surprise. We were really grateful to receive a free birthday cupcake from Le Dolci too! The... More

Yay, happy belated birthday Emma! We're glad you enjoyed the tour, especially the "surprise" stores. It follows our philosophy that chocolate should be enjoyed in all forms :) More

My boyfriend and I both had a really great time, me of course because I'm a chocoholic and him because we visited and tasted things other than just chocolate, he especially enjoyed the gelato. I liked that many of the stops were not places I had heard of, or ones that I likely would stop in on my own, I... More

We're glad to see that the chocolate tour met the needs of the 2 kinds of people we see on the tour - the chocolate-lover, and the one who is dragged along! Alex sends you his best regards; he's hibernating now waiting for spring. See you on another tour soon...if we don't bump into you at one of the tour... More

As a foodie and food writer, I'm almost duty-bound to keep myself abreast of various goings-on in the Toronto food scene. So in a unique break from what I usually do, I sign up for this food tour. And it was a treat! The tour, pleasantly conducted by the cheerful and lovely Audrey, goes through the Kensington Market area. We... More

The tour was a fantastic way to taste the hidden gems of Kensington market and learn more about the food and the area along the way. I went with my two daughters (8,11) and they loved the treats but also learned about some of Toronto's multicultural foods and history along the way. Audrey was well versed in the area and... More

This was such a lovely tour! The fun part is not knowing where you're heading to next. The tour guide provides a brief history of the business which makes this little adventure even more interesting. I'm looking forward to my next tour...so is my tummy! :-)

Audrey was a great host, sharing interesting and entertaining info about the production of chocolate. The event was well organized and the small group made it feel very intimate. Highly recommended. Leroy

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
