I've been to Sweetgrass several times but mostly for eyelash extensions. They do a good job though pricier than other places. I've tried their pool and mani/pedi but I dont think they were spectacular. But I'd keep going for the eyelash extensions, though. The service has consistently been good and I wouldnt mind trying out other services at some point.

This place had a lovely vibe to it, staff was very friendly, and the smoke salmon salad was lovely however, the pedicure treatment itself was probably the worse one I have ever received (also maybe the most expensive). No hot wax was provided in the pedicure deal which was very expensive therefore, you think it would have been. The room... More

Thank you very much for your valuable feedback – we are glad that you were impressed with our spa staff and atmosphere as well as your lunch, but are sorry to hear you and your friend were not completely satisfied with your pedicure experience. Our dim lighting is meant to promote relaxation, however, we have recently installed new lighting which... More

I have no previous spa experience but read the reviews and decided that SweetGrass had the perfect package for my spa treat. Here are my overall thoughts. I found a general lack of information given prior to showing up. Didn't know if there was shampoo/soap/blow dryers available (all of the above and more was provided). I didn't find the website... Is it because there are few other options? The spa is well maintained but old and dim. The nail services are not great. Shellac manicures don't last and the cleanliness is not clear. When we asked we were told that the tolls were cleaned but only put in cleansers and in the autoclave "sometimes".... Lunch is available but expensive and... More

Thank you for taking the time to offer your feedback – we are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with your experience. Our spa does have an older feel to it, as it is the historic site of a restored 19th-century chocolate factory. We keep our lighting dim to evoke a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere for our... More

Group Spa Day for our annual divas destination vacation was here. Very nice spa and setup the members locker room is separate from the guest locker room. If you spend a certain amount you'll have access to the pool jacuzzi and sauna also. I would consider it more of a bath house. I received a facial, and 60 min massage.... More

I was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful this spa was. I booked a massage but also had lunch and did hydrotherapy (pool, hot tub, infrared sauna.) I would most definitely return to this spot and highly recommend it. The prices are fair and the services wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The SPA was recommended to me by a local Torontonian as I wanted to spend the day indulging and recuperating before a week of wedding celebrations. As someone who works very hard, I regularly take time out to try and relax and live in the moment. This was the perfect place to do this...I love my massage, my reflexology, my... More

I took my mom to this spa as a gift. We each had a facial and leg treatment. I loved the atmosphere of the spa. It is calm and relaxing. We went mid-week, in the morning so keep in mind it was pretty quiet when we were there. They provide you with robes, sandals, toothbrush and toothpaste in your locker.... More

I am know for being blunt and honest with my reviews. While the staff were amazing and the space was huge I just couldn't get into the temperatures of the water. Dear Emily, We are happy to hear that our staff made a good impression on you as we work very hard to deliver the best customer service. Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
