My friend was visiting from Nashville and I had moved to Toronto six months ago, so I thought a walking tour would be great for both of us. I was right. Welsley, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and fun, the food was fantastic (and plentiful), and the walking in between stops was much needed and appreciated. I would recommend this... More

My boyfriend and I are from Chicago visiting Toronto for 2 days and decided last minute to try the Brunch tour and we didn't regret it! We had amazing food and got to meet a great group of people which made it even better. Ian was our guide and he made it feel like we were hanging out with a... More

Ian was a great tour guide, super approachable, super knowledgable and great fun. The tour was great and gave you a side of the city you may not know just walking around the neighbourhoods. You could tell he and the tours have a great reputation, trust and respect from businesses and neighbours which says a lot. Great variety and quality... More

I was in Toronto for a few days in early October visiting a friend in the city and was able to book a ticket for the Riverside & Leslieville Tour. Other than a small downtown food tour in my home town of Halifax I had never been on a "proper" food tour, so didn't really know what I was getting... More

Our tour was on December 17 with Catherine. We visited four terrific places (out of the regular spots). In each case. we visited with the owners and saw their devotion to their restaurants. We enjoyed each place - very different and well-chosen. My favourite was perhaps the beer tasting. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

I booked this food tour for my boyfriend's birthday- we had recently moved into the area and I thought it would be a great way to learn about some hidden gems. I can honestly say that we enjoyed every moment of the tour. Our tour guide extraordinaire was Ian- he was knowledgeable, fun, and clearly well-known in the area. Not... More

My husband and I received two tickets to explore the culinary scenes in Kensington Market and Chinatown. Our guide, Wesley, did a very good job explaining the history of these places. We ate at four restaurants. All the food was delicious. At the end each of us could taste and then take home a bag of popcorn. Overall, a great... More

This was our first food tour and definitely won't be the last! The food was delicious, our guide Ian was amazing. We walked around gaining some wonderful facts about Toronto's history then went to taste the food from the market. The selection of food was excellent, from sweet to savory, it hit every mark. I would recommend this to tourists... More

So many great stories and delicious treats shared in the St. Lawerence Market food tour with Ian. This was our second tour with the company and we can't wait to try another. We've been going to the market for many years and had never tried many of the delicious treats available! Great way to learn more about our city -... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
