This was a really enjoyable trip, if only the weather had been better! Our hotel phoned the tour operator Grayline the day before and a 9am pick up was advised. We were a little apprehensive still waiting at 9.15am but they arrived at 9.25am apologising for the delay apparently caused by an accident. After completing all the 'pick ups' we... More

Visiting from the UK we booked the Niagara tour which included a two night stay at the Sheraton on the falls Hotel in a falls view room. Collected from Toronto hotel as planned, boarded the tour bus and set off for around 10 am. On route we visited a winery then stopped off at Niagara on the lake where we... More

Too foggy for good photos, but the trip to Niagara Falls was quick and easy and very enjoyable thanks to Grant and Sean (Shawn?) who took us around. It was pricey, and I had hoped for more than 75 minutes at the falls (no Maid of the Mist in the off season but you get tickets for the Behind the... More

Sadly this tour is vastly overpriced and very disappointing! They have made many swaps for inadequate alternatives from the itinerary purchased. The walk behind the falls is possibly the biggest let down of all. You can't go outside its just a tunnel with holes!! Awful!!!

Unfortunately the date we went was not available to input on this site. We went last year but I have only just got around to using this app. We were very lucky to have Judy as our tour guide for the day and she was fantastic! Very informative and used humour when explaining things which made the trip very memorable!... More

I've read a lot of the recent reviews on here so I won't repeat what they say but we also missed out on the winery experience and had the free 3-shot beer tasting, plus we missed going out on the boat (maybe because the waters were too choppy?). We paid 130 Canadian dollars incl tax which was steep. But then... More

I was impressed by the number of high ratings for this tour. Perhaps the differences are due to differing tour guides or variations in the weather. However, my tour left much to be desired. I booked on expedia and was excited about the full day tour with cruise. The day began promisingly enough with a pickup at our hotel where... More

Pick up at the hotel, sit back relax and be told all about Toronto and other places that you pass along the way. Very interesting and informative. Friendly guide, optional buffet lunch with free time to do what you would like. Journey behind the Falls is a must. Canadian side offers better views. After a long day of exploring you... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
