This was a great relaxing way to spend our last day in Toronto. A short ferry ride gets you to the island. We spend some time relaxing at the beach, went for a swim, walked around the gardens and had fun exploring the hedge maze....More

This island offers something for everyone. We rode bikes, but you can stroll or take the kids and hit the amusement park. Lovely houses and scenic location with great views back the city plenty of photo ops.

Took the very reasonable ferry across and intended to stay a couple of hours....instead we stayed 7! Lovely place for a wander and escape the hustle and bustle of Toronto. Interesting homes, lovely gardens and great views of the Toronto skyline. Well worth a visit.

Exploring the Toronto Islands was one of the highlights of my recent trip and it makes for a fantastic day or half-day trip from Toronto. There were beautiful walking trails through wooded and open park-like areas and on boardwalks along the lake; lots of green...More

Went with a friend to spend the day. Didn't know there was the Indian festival happening, which made the island crowded. Otherwise, very calm and peaceful place to enjoy the beaches and trails.

Beautiful islands. Once you're there, it's easy to forget that you're in the city. Boardwalks, bike rentals, beaches and restaurants. Bring a picnic. People live on this island, and there are walking paths through their neighbourhoods. If you purchase the bottled water, save your bottle...More

Toronto Island is worth visiting. It’s good to go for a picnic and for a walk. The better way to get there is with the watertaxi and to return with the ferryboat.
