Great walking tours of the city of Toronto. Very interesting. We did the Old Town tour and Downtown tours. Tours are free and you just pay a tip you think reasonable at the end. Tim did our downtown tour and was full of interesting facts. I definitely recommend doing the walking tours while in Toronto.

Aaron is an excellent tour guide and we greatly enjoyed spending our time with him. He is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. I have no complaints and only praise to give. It's truly amazing that you get to see a decent amount of sites for free.

We joined Golshan both on the Old Town History Tour and the St Lawrence Market Tour of Toronto and they were both awesome! I live in Toronto and went with my friend who visited from Denmark - so we joined as a local and a tourist, and we both enjoyed ourselves! I learned a lot of interesting things about my... More

Despite getting caught up in some rain towards the tail end of the tour, we had a fantastic time and learned a lot about this beautiful city of ours and the graffiti culture. Who knew there was so much to see just beneath the surface and around the next corner. Cool tour. Definitely recommended for residents and visitors.

This walking tour was fantastic and I highly recommend it to all visitors and tourists to the location. Sunday morning is an excellent time to go as there are few crowds in Downtown. The tour guide was professional, added character to the tour, and was extremely knowledgeable. We managed to visit a diverse range of locations within a small geographical... More

I love a good free walking tour as the guides are always knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Having done the tour on Thursday last, I can safely say Garry was a first class tour guide, friendly, engaging and highly informative. He also showed us huge amounts of the city we would have otherwise missed. I can't recommend highly enough.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
