Comparing to parks at my home state, the High Park is bigger! It was Sunday morning, and it was cold. However I set the goal to complete a loop around the pond, and I definitely enjoyed the walk as shown by the photos attached. Parked by the restaurant on the hill, enjoyed the half sandwich (really glad I did that),... More

We just love High Park especially in the summer. On recent visit, we went skating which was a lot of fun all at the cost of free. We are waiting for the pond to freeze so we can go skating there and play some hockey thought the Tzars at City Hall do not allow skiing on the frozen pond. Great... More

Had a great family outing at this park. I wish I had brought my dog with me. There is plenty of dog walking areas. Not sure if it was just me but the trails were a bit confusing for a first timer. We ended up in the dog area a few times. Will definitely be coming back in the summer... More

This is undoubtedly my favorite park in Toronto. It is very big and has lots of mature trees that provide shade on a hot summer's day. It is well maintained with lots of picnic areas and green space. The parking area is adequate, but during summer, it can be a problem since this is a very popular tourist and local... More

From the restaurant in the centre of the park to the petting zoo, doesn't matter the season you got plenty to chose from. Favorite spot, the hidden gem of the labyrinth will amaze you or chill out by the shore of the enclosed pond. Bring a picnic and great walking shoes and plan to spend the afternoon

I live around the area, so I can tell that one of my favorites things to do every day is simply walk around this park. It is excellent to calm your mind from all the stress. Beautiful pond, great restaurant, fun mini zoo, and so many beautiful trees. Activities such as Shakespeare in the Park, baseball and soccer games, or... More

This place has dog parks, a zoo, cherry blossoms, many paths to walk, a lake, playgrounds (though could do with less kids haha!), basically everything you could ask for in a park. The restaurant is very nice too, busy but quick to get your food so you can enjoy it on the patio.

This park is great anytime of the year. Great for children as they have a small free zoo and a huge castle playground as well as other playgrounds.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
