If you want the look out stay on secdon line till the end and park. Follow trail and stay left, it's only 500m. The conservation area can use the same parking lot but go right on the trail and upwards toward's the quarry.

We followed directions ended up in the middle of no where. Big disappointment. The trail at the bottom is very unsafe. No rocks to be found.

Sault ste marie to the west is captured by the coast of Lake Superior. Gros cap is the point where superior empties into the st mary's river. This area gives you a good view over lake superior.

Take 2nd line road right out, can't miss it. The locals might look at you a little strangely since I'm sure not many people know that this gem is out there. WORTH THE DRIVE. It is the most beautiful spot you will ever see.

Beautiful Playground in my backyard! Miles of trails and beautiful shoreline. Scenic lookouts and ideal landscapes for photography. Being so close to home I have the luxury of making regular visits to this beautiful area. I am blessed!

The drive was beautiful, and saw the water from the boat launch area. Didn't do the hike but rather did a longer drive up through marshall drive.

Nice drive to get there, liked the area very much! It was windy when we were here, so the waves were high, made for great pics!

At Gros Cap, you won't see any wildlife. However, if you are travelling north on Hwy 17, you could see moose, or a bear.
