You can start your visit in a little museum then head over to the house with a tour guide. The guides are great. So personable & informative. They dress in period clothing. A must stop while in the area. Also the gift shop has super...More

For those of us who though that Laura was somehow involved in the development of chocolate in North america, it was quite informative. Certainly a glimpse intot he past. Great artifacts and information, worth a visit.

Her life story is told here. The house is furnished in period authentic furnishings. There is a vegetable garden where they grow vegetables and herbs.

Worth a short stop to take a tour of the Laura Secord Homestead and revisit a piece of history--imagine how she walked to Beaver Dams from this location!

Laura Secord is a hero who saved many lives back in 1812. This is an important part of the Canadian history. Too bad the Homestead has an entrance fee as it should be free for everyone to see.

Decided to go on the short guided tour ($9.50 each) and it was worth it! (Tours are every half hour in the summer). Learned a lot more than if we had just walked around the museum. Such an amazing heroine and story!
