Her life story is told here. The house is furnished in period authentic furnishings. There is a vegetable garden where they grow vegetables and herbs.

Worth a short stop to take a tour of the Laura Secord Homestead and revisit a piece of history--imagine how she walked to Beaver Dams from this location!

Laura Secord is a hero who saved many lives back in 1812. This is an important part of the Canadian history. Too bad the Homestead has an entrance fee as it should be free for everyone to see.

Decided to go on the short guided tour ($9.50 each) and it was worth it! (Tours are every half hour in the summer). Learned a lot more than if we had just walked around the museum. Such an amazing heroine and story!

We had, what amounted to a private tour. Tour guide was well informed and the visitor centre clears up several misconceptions. Look for the parking behind the homestead. It is not obvious from the street at the front.

We live locally, took an overseas guest to visit the homestead, and it was our first visit as well. Found the displays to be interesting, and our tour guide, Jared was great. Very knowledgeable and personable, and she answered all of our questions confidently. We...More
