Sit and watch the boats go up and down the lift lock, you can fish or just enjoy the views wave at the passing boats.

Anyone visiting this vicinity should most certainly take in a boat ride over the highest hydraulic Lift Lock in the world. An amazing experience, the views outstanding & beautiful. Don't miss it.

A marvel of early 20th century engineering. Still working much as it did back then. You can take a tour boat and go thru the liftlocks, they give lots of history on the boat. Excellent ice skating in the winter just below locks. Peterborough has lots of great places to eat as well. Worth the visit.

Great place to visit and observe during the spring, summer and fall. Very interesting to watch in operation, and the Visitor Center is tremendous.

A very neat experience. A great invention. Can fit lots of boats in at one time. I've been through it a couple of times, once on a ferry, once on a cabin cruiser, and once in a canoe!

A must see when visiting Peterborough. Its an 30 to 60 minute trip back in time. A ride up in a boat is an interesting trip, I've done it several times in my boat. It is amazing how long ago they built this lift, was one of the largest in the world in its day.

Nice small park for families to walk around. Nice for small children to play at the water park and see the animals.

I went in the winter time so the lift was not active, but it was still cool to see how it works. You really don't grasp the size until you see it in person. Well worth checking out

This is a family run business that is done very well. Jamie the guide made this the most memorable experience for my son. We were there in August and my son had never been on a boat. It was his 4th birthday and Jamie went out of his way to make it a truly special day for him. He showed... More
