Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Glebe is a great place to eat, visit and even walk around. There are a ton of wicked restaurants like the Works and Boston Pizza.
My only complaint is the lack of parking. As a tourist I drive, park and experience, paying for a forty minute visit seems pretty steep.

I was born and raised in the Glebe, so I'm a little biased in my love for this neighbourhood.
Every time I visit Ottawa it's a ritual to drive around the Glebe...up and down the Avenues, admire the beautiful homes and mansions, enjoy the quaint Bank Street shops, stop in at a corner store for a drink and stay a few minutes at the lovely parks and ponds.
Do visit the Glebe; try it and you'll love it too!

If you like flakey university perfessors, bogus blue blood environmentalists and cheesy brain dead socialists, this is the place to hang.

Very quaint and interesting place to walk around. We also stayed in an air B&B in this neighbourhood. So many shops and restaurants to choose from, you could never see them all!

My mom taught at Glebe Collegiate in the early 50s and lived in the area: she would not be able to afford to live there now.
Very hipster/new money/crunchy granola.

Visited Lansdowne park at the Glebe. Very nice. Plenty of small shops in Bank street, and eating places. Nice walk along the canal. Underground parking was easy.

My husband was looking to visit a stamp shop to add to his collection. I googled stamp shops and we were directed to the one in the Glebe. While he poured over what they had available in the shop I went for a walk. I stopped in at a store and wandered around the old, well-kept building, with original wood floors. I purchased a few items. Then continued on. I bought a most delicious croissant in a small bake shop near the stamp shop. So many places to see around here. The outdoor cafes, shops, etc. Really nice area.

Globe is a fashionable district of Ottawa bounded by Queensway in the north and the Rideau Cabal to the south and east with Bank Street as its main shopping artery running straight down the middle. It is home to some elegant real estate particularly around the park near Clemow Drive which is home to some of the embassies which didn’t quite make it to the Rockcliffe area (for example, Benin and Vietnam). Along Bank Street are a host of upmarket antiques, jewellery and clothes shops. Its southern flank has recently been completed by an entire shopping Andrea food village adjacent to the new Landsdowne Stadium which accommodates a Farmers’ Market every Sunday.

This area is a must-visit for anyone who comes to Ottawa. Nice restaurants and shops with a progressive and artzy vibe, will offer all visitors something, at least a good walk from shops to the Canal. The new developments at Lansdowne made it too busy and the stadium and high-rise building don't really fit the vibe, but still pretty good
