A nice little Monument remembering the peacekeepers we’ve sent overseas who never returned. It’s next to the national art gallery and you could easily spend a few minutes here.

Canada has a very strong reputation for its peacekeeping efforts and this monument is an impressive contribution to that to remind all that visit. I was impressed with the quality of the sculpture as well with the smooth-walled exterior and the broken interior 'pathway'.

This moving Memorial to Celebrate Canada's role in Peace Making, is also somewhat tucked away! It is close to the busy intersection before the National Art Gallery and the Basilica. It is a very important tribute to Canadian Military actions in many parts of the...More

Almost out-of-place in Canada's capital with its overabundance of monuments, this memorial is overlooked by too many who only see it while passing by in traffic. It is a good memorial to peacekeeping, which while obcious enough in a sense, was still first officially proposed...More

It it a powerful memorial, a tribute given to the peacekeepers. The bronze statues are immense and depicts peacekeepers doing their duties.

Nice monument on a busy street but worth the view and time to stop by. Especially if you have been a peacekeeper like I have been 3 time over

So many things worth pondering and honouring. This is one of them. Large and impressive and close to the National Art Gallery.

While the giant bronze statues that depict peace-keepers going about their duties are impressive, this monument draws its strength from the concrete foundations on which the figures are set. Blind corners, unexpected dead ends and ragged, fractured surfaces create a sense of unease and anxiety...More

Close to the Byward Market and the US Embassy so easy to get to if you are in the area. Encompasses basically a city block. If you are a history buff then this makes for a nice short visit. More interesting is to compare it...More
