The Peace Tower is a must see! It provides a good view of Parliament Hill Buildings and the Memorial Book bearing names of fallen soldiers is an important reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedom.

You can't really miss the Peace Tower when in Ottawa. Worth the visit. Lots of interesting statues and of course the guards are always there. A police vehicle is no posted in front of it at all times.

A visit to the Peace Tower is included with the great free tour. There is a bit of a wait for the elevator and it is well worth the time to see the beautiful views. Hurry to tour because it will be closed for ten...More

We were too late for question period tickets, but we did this instead. You won't stay very long, but it offers a fabulous view of Ottawa and Gatineau.

A beautiful site in the middle of the city with so much history. Don't forget to line up early to pick up free tickets at 90 Wellington Street.

This is a gorgeous building which is a must see when visiting the Canadian parliament. Great photo op near the centennial flame.

It is certainly an icon of Canada so worth visiting if you are visiting the parliament building (since the other two wings are off limits). The wait for the single elevator (they could put in 20-25% more people but choose not to) can be lengthy,...More

If you wish to view the page that lists a friend or family member who died during military conflict, you can contact those in charge of the Peace Tower and ask what day that particular page will be open. An emotional opportunity to be sure.

Es muy interesante ver el aspecto multicultural que hay en Canadá. Vimos un representante del parlamento de origen indio y el enorme respeto de los parlamentarios al tratar temas en que discrepaban. Admirable.
