The first "reptile" we saw was a porcupine. Really? Then enclosure which we thought was empty but did have a bird. Some of the "facts" posted in zoo have wrong or contradictory information. There was a kangaroo at the zoo that day. I asked a staff person where the kangaroo lived. She said at a separate location warehouse. Cement floor... More

We took our granddaughter and her friend here last summer. Little Rae offers a very comprehensive demonstration and tour. Imagine kids holding a friendly tarantula, petting an articulated burmese python, and stroking a baby cayman...this is a big hit with the kids. The shows featuring the animals are scheduled throughout the day. There's a good variety of insects, reptiles, animals,... More

We enjoyed searching for the animals in each of the installations, and got to see a monitor chase and eat giant cockroaches for lunch! When they are "open", shows featuring the animals are scheduled throughout the day.

I take my Cub Scouts here for an outing. And we have brought their travelling road show into our meetings. Knowledgeable staff who interact well with the kids. Great hands on activity with a variety of unique animals. Highly recommended!

We have attended several children's birthday parties at this venue. The children never seem to tire of the activities and one of our grand children spent at week this summer at its day camp and enjoyed every day,

We have used them several times over the years for various kids events we've run. They are reasonably priced and always come well prepared with a variety of reptiles for the kids to see! Some are able to be touched, others are just look animals. They are always on time and always give a great performance. Definitely great for kids!

Went with my son when he was four. He certainly liked the lizards and snakes etc. For what you pay for it doesn't seem like it's enough of a showcase. They put on a little show and info session and bring out some criters for the kids to hold and touch. Maybe a once a year type thing but once... More

The only downside is this place is far from downtown. The "zoo" is not a fancy place but it's well staffed with really knowledgable handlers. Unlike typical zoos, you can get close to many of the animals. Obviously - they're mostly lizards so if snakes aren't your thing (I'm not), no worries, the demos are very entertaining.
