The Museum of nature underwent an expensive renovation a few years ago. The result is a soaring success. Five levels on two sides with well curated galleries by coherent topics: dinosaurs, gems, oceans, birds, special exhibits, arctic coming in June 2017. Much better to go at non-busy times. My kids love the live frogs, turtle, fish. The boutique is small... More

it's nice place and has intersting collection, but here is nothing special that you can't see, let's say, in MET (NY). anyway if you decided to spend your holidays in Ottawa, this one of those places you can't miss

What a great place. I like the way it is separate in different rooms so it is easier to plan the day with kids. exiting a room there is bathroom, you can stop for a snack, etc and continue to the next room after. it is easy to navigate, a lot of large stair case and even really big elevators... I took my 6 year old grandson to see the dinosaurs and he enjoyed all of the displays and interactive exhibits. We spent 4 hours looking around. So, yes, it is somewhat geared to young ones but isn't that the point? If we want to engage the curiosity of children we need our museums to be interesting and exciting. I... More

So much to see so little time. Young babies are hard to stay focused but I had gone before so I didn't miss out but there's still alot to see, and so many different floors.

The museum is very targeted at children. Any adult with basic knowledge of natural science will find the museum lacking in much to excit. Yes there are few things that are fun to look at but most wasn't that interesting or suprising. If you are an adult I highly recommend a the art or war museum more.

I loved this museum, the exhibits are quite interesting. I also went to one of their night events - if you can, do that! It's worth every cent!

I went during the Reptile visit- it was really cool. A good selection of live animals! Thursday's are free- and it's a good time to go because there is a lot of good energy there

Very interesting, the reptile area is not included in the price of admission. Would like to have known this before walking all the way down to pay for access. Nice family outing.

The museum has very modern and interactive exhibitions. There are even living insects in one of the permanent exhibitions.
