Because of a tip, I arrived at 8am and was already the 20th in line for tour tickets. It's quite an antiquated practice- you wait in line. The ticket doors open at 9am. You choose the tour time for the center block and east block....More

A beautiful building in a beautiful city. We were unfortunately only in Ottawa for a few days --so many places of interest to choose from! We wanted to visit the parliament buildings for sure---the tours were heavily booked and we could only get a French...More

We visited Parliament Hill on the 1st night of the free light show. It was spectacular! The show was the history of Canada projected on the main Parliament building. The show was about 35 minutes long. We enjoyed the festival feel of families on blankets...More

Great views of the parliament buildings and the river across to Quebec. Nice to have a walk round and see the statues of historical political figures.

We waited to get tickets for 45 min, set times had to wait for a couple more hours. Once the tour started it was ok, the tour girl, knew her stuff and knowledgeable, it was a very hot day, maybe better on a cooler day.

You need tickets to get in. We got there 10:45am in a Thursday and received 2:30 and 3:50pm tour tickets (there are 2 buildings, each tour is about 45 min.) Half an hour later all tickets were gone. We visited the Supreme Court and bank...More

We came here on Canada day from vancouver. It was amazing to see these old buildings looking like castles and for the kids to see this is where all the decisions were made. and it was within walking distance to the supreme court.

Been to a few of their light shows. The artistic side is great. If narrating history, not so great. They white-wash the history with Indigenous. I know it is to attract tourist, bring the best out about our country but the lies still bothered me.

There is a guided tour of the Parliament building. There is no fee but tickets are required and are available across the street from the main entrance. The tour is excellent and not to be missed especially the library.
