Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Panorama view of Ottawa and Gatineau. Nice place to relax after seeing the National Gallery. There are seats so bring your lunch and enjoy the view

We had a hard time finding Nepean Point because I was trying to map it from the car; it is only accessible on foot. However once we found it, the view is amazing! It is tucked behind/above the art museum and we were lucky enough to find parking behind the museum. It is a great spot to take photos of the city, Parliament Hill, etc.

Lots of people walking around and taking pictures by the statue. I think its the highest place in the city. Definitely worth the walk and the surrounding park area.

You should go to attractions closest to here: Byward Market, Notre Dame Basilica National Arts Gallery, than this point. This place is free, that is just the best thing about this place.

Stood atop Nepean Point one day in the fall. The view was beautiful and it's a great vantage point to see the Ottawa River and beyond.

Nepean Point, gives you the advantage of seeing Ottawa/Gatineau from far away. Overlooking the Ottawa River, Parliament, the Canadian Museum of Civilization, and other features of downtown.

From Nepean Point, you get a fabulous view over the Ottawa River of Quebec, particularly the beautiful Museum of Civilization. It is also a great place to view the fireworks on Parliament Hill on the 1st of July.

There used to be an outdoor theatre here that has recently been torn down for much need renovation. There is a prominent view from ere of the Ottawa River, Parliament and Gatineau. The statue of Samuel de Champlain is notorious for holding aloft an astrolabe upside down.

The view while sitting at Samuel de Champlain's feet, looking Westerly to lands unknown to him. There used to be an Algonquin or Cree warrior/guide sitting at his feet, so subverviently, however, they found him a beautiful spot in Major's Hill Park across the road. This warrior knew what laid ahead......
