Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This Kiosk is one stop for planning one’s trip in Ottawa. Located in front of the parliament hill, it has employees who are very courteous and helpful in planning visiting places in Ottawa for the time period that one intends. Certainly worth visiting.

The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. I did prefer the old location across from the Parliament Buildings as it was much easier to access.

The Capital Info Centre run by the National Capital Commission is a must if you are visiting the National Capital Region. The friendly bilingual staff can provide you with a wealth of info on attractions and sites. Brochures and maps are available for FREE and you can't beat that!
As well the site has one of the only public washroom facilities in the area around Parliament Hill. If you google "Parliament Hill Webcam" you will see the picture taken from the webcam on top of this location.

I frequently spend time in the area of wellington street, and used their bathrooms when needed. Often i found the bathroom dirty, and when i mentioned it, i was told the cleaner was on vacation. Wouldn't you replace that cleaner with someone else, to keep your bathrooms clean? They recently put a sign "Bathrooms only for clients?" Also being told not allowed on the property when it's PUBLIC property. This is wrong in many levels, and will be filling my complaint against the old miserable commissionaire. I live in ottawa, and we pay our taxes which pays their salary, and for the PROPERTY.

How can the nation's capital downgrade its major tourism information to a "kiosk"? This is such a race to the bottom and another indicator how Canada is losing its place in the world. Go to any major city in the world -- London, Berlin, Melbourne, etc. etc. and you will find they have excellent tourist resources for those visiting. But not in "Nottawa"....very disappoiting for NCC because on most things they go 110%.

As far as location it is great. Info Great. Getting tickets for the free tour of parliament get there early. They open @ 9am. I showed up at 9:10 and i was approx. 150 in line. NO JOKE. Only 3 people working. Its not there fault. Get there no later then 8:30 a.m. I was hoping to get 1 ticket for an English tour for around 10 a.m. By the time i got to the counter 45 minutes later I got a ticket for the 3:45pm tour. First come first serve. Also, the tours will be ending in September because the centre building of parliament (main building) is closing for renovations for 10-15 yrs.

Tickets for the free tours of the Parliament buildings can be obtained here but they go very fast so line up early. Be sure to grab a copy of the self-guide booklet called Discover the Hill to better appreciate the many attractions within the Parliament, including monuments and public art. If you are carrying a big bag, be sure to deposit it here before going to the tour or you won't be allowed in. The bilingual staff here is friendly and competent, patiently answering all questions from visitors. There is a restroom at the basement of the building.

This should be the first place you visit if you are a tourist in Ottawa. The staff are so informative and helpful. There are tickets available for lots of attractions and that is where we got our free tickets for the Parliament tour. Bus timetables, maps and so much more. The toilets are in the basement and there is a bag drop upstairs. Around and about there were also members of their team who were only too willing to help anyone get a memorable experience of this wonderful city.

Where did this person go? The information centre is opposite the Parliament Building and is certainly not a kiosk. It did not deserve such a review.
