This place is designed to evoke the feelings of sadness, grief, despair, and hopelessness which make up the spirit of the holocaust. Lots of high walls, sharp angles, and plain gray concrete fill the space. There are some things to read, but it is mostly...More

To truly tell the story of one of the darkest stains on humanity is almost an impossibility, however, this broken Star Of David does come very close, It is a simple monument in design, however, the starkness combined with the photos and stories of the...More

Was passing by so decided to check it out. I don't understand this monument. It is a huge, ugly pile of concrete that fails to illicit any emotion. Also unsure why such a huge monument was placed in such a key location when Canada had...More

The Uber driver didn't even know about this new memorial. But there were a fair amount of people there, though it was not crowded. The arhcitecture is magnificent, and the sad story of the Holocaust is told well.

This is a huge memorial, lots of concrete. Some information panels but I feel there could be more. Some nice photos/etchings in the concrete. Located near the Canadian War Museum.

An ugly pile of concrete. I can't imagine anyone liking this. I don't understand the artist's vision.

Free, open air monument. Very informative plaques, the artwork, specifically that of the rail yards and the fencing is so poignant.

A totally outdoor exhibit with no admission fee, it is well presented on large concrete walls. It is very informative regarding this horrible aspect of the war. The mural is almost 3-D because it is so well done. If viewing during the fall or winter,...More
