A really interesting visit to this pre-War of 1812 building, now a museum and tea room. We didn’t take the short tour but did enjoy the tea room. First of all, a beautiful parkland setting just off the Niagara Parkway. Easy to get to, plenty...More

McFarland was a ship builder. He was very wealthy as can be seen from the home and its furnishings. He eventually owned 2000 acres of land.

We always love to see and learn about the history of the areas we vacation in. The history of this area is abundant. We enjoyed learning. Loved the scones with cream and jam.

A high tea lunch shared with friends in a unique and beautiful setting. The house sits in a beautiful park with easy parking nearby. Prices were reasonable and there were a variety of lunch offerings. A very friendly and helpful staff.

We had lunch here before biking to Niagara Falls. The asparagus soup and sandwiches were delicious as well as the tea and scones but we missed the real cream. Also we were disappointed that they only used paper napkins instead of the much classier and...More

We stopped for lunch while biking the Niagara Parkway Recreational Trail. The Conservatory Tea Room offers excellent scones, tea, and desserts. We shared a tray that had all of the above. Excellent atmosphere, wonderful food!

A very interesting guided tour of a period house with many original artifacts. The tour gives you an insight to lives of the better off members of society. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kept your attention. There is a tea house attached, but it...More

We were in the area, going for a drive when we came upon McFarland house. Under the sign, it stated that they served afternoon tea and being that we were thirsty and a cup of tea sounded really nice, we stopped by and we were...More

The tour is informative any time, but Christmas time is even special, with the period Christmas decoration. Sit in the decorated Veranda/tearoom and have a sip of hot apple cider with view of the beautiful Garden....

I'm not sure when it opens, but we went at 12:15. They start the tours once an hour at a quarter after the hour. So I would come near when the tour starts. The tea room was also open them as well.
