NOTL downtown is very picturesque with it’s shops and restaurants.
The core is small enough to walk up one side and down the other in no time. We enjoy taking a stroll popping into the shops and usually grab a bite to eat.

We visited for the Ice Wine Festival and found this quaint town to be just wonderful! Everything is within walking distance, there are plentiful eateries, unique shopping opportunities, and festivals galore.
Very pretty town with a fabulous icewine Festival. Fireworks on Friday night. Outdoor icewine tastings on Saturday and Sunday. Entertainment, ice sculptures, food tastings. Amazing atmosphere- a very Canadian experience.

I don't find this area to be touristy. It is quaint and comfortable. The landscaping is stunning, as are the buildings. The only thing you will notice is how busy it is, but again its quiet and friendly.
