Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The worst customer service ever at MarineLand park, Niagara Falls.
They were closed for a week due to water repair and when we ask them for admission tickets refund, credit or discount, they didn’t accommodate it.
On the day they opened the park, they operated the park with closure of majority of rides because of low staff, and they announced the operating hours as 10am to 8pm, Then at 6pm, they decided to close it because of the rain, and again without accommodating any discount or credit.
Some staff members, especially at the admission gates, are very welcoming and supportive, while others, like Mike, are rude and inconsiderate.
He forced the guests to leave the park immediately, not considering the rain that made everyone wet and the slippery ground, etc.
It looks like the business is dying and the management team doesn’t care. You can tell from the low staff and the low number of guests visiting the park daily!
There are many other attractions at Niagara Falls that are much better than MarineLand Park.
I don’t recommend it for families with kids, because of the terrible customer service, short staff, carelessness of management and the danger they put the kids into by allowing unprofessional staff to manage the park!

Wait to go until next year. If you look at their website, in a paragraph under the FAQ’s section, under the “Covid 19 Protocols” you will see that they list a number of rides that are closed.
We went today and only 3 rides were operational for children, plus too more rides that my kids were too short to use.
When I asked about the lack of amenities they said they had staffing shortages, as well as a wait on parts for some of the other rides, that were supposed to come from Germany, and were also delayed by Covid-19. Also, 3 different rides broke down while we were there and they were waiting on a mechanic to come.
Long story short, you can see two displays of Beluga Whales, you can feed deer through gate, you can look at bears in another display, and if you are among the first 200 there, you can use the splash pad. (There’s no protocol to ensure you get a turn. They just close the gates when capacity isn’t reached and you have to wait for someone to leave). You can pay $3.50 to feed some carp fish.
And there are three rides (five if you’re a teen or adult), all with long lines since there’s so many people a d not much else to do, and three times daily they have a limited capacity show.
That’s it. For $50 admission.
There’s better value for a day out to be had elsewhere, and the amount of effort needed to walk around and wait in long lines seems hardly worth it.
Try next year.

Not worth the drive nor cost CAD50. Waited for long periods of time for the 3 of the 4 rides that was functional. Save your time and money and do something else worth while doing with your children/family. I wish I had read the reviews before going here. I hope the management team will use these entrance fees to update the facility and rides so that better reviews can be seen going forward.

It wouldn’t be a vacation without at least one epic fail right? And that fail would be @MarineLand. Complete and utter failure, biggest money grab, loss of words how much of a disappointment. “Staff shortage” of 10+ employees left practically the entire park closed. No rides, no feeding the deer. Just walking around an empty, closed park. Even around the friendship cove and attic cove were barricaded off so you could walk up the front side only. $120 and 5 1/2 hour drive to leave without seeing a single ride operate but what you will see is dozens of kids sulking on benches in the heat with nothing to do. There’s a reason they say absolutely no refunds on their website because you will 100% want one

I live close to Marineland and have to drive by it almost everyday (unfortunately). It’s a sad place on the outside: overgrown, dirty, dated, just generally unkempt. You can only imagine what the inside looks like, and what the animal’s habitats look like. There are bears living in groups, who are naturally solo animals, scarred up from fighting for food. Kiska, the lone orca, living in a small tank for over half a century. Orcas don’t naturally live alone, they live in pods and travel with other orcas. A deer exhibit where an abundance of deer live together, when naturally they would live in MUCH smaller groups (and would not be pet by humans). Dolphins performing shows, when in the wild they don’t perform for humans on command (sorry to break it to you). NONE of what Marineland is doing seems educational, at all. They don’t even have appropriate, natural habitats for their animals! Oh, and the rides are pitiful, you’re much better off going to Canada’s Wonderland (and you’ll spend less money!). If you want to know the truth about Marineland, the facts are out there in the open. Nobody local goes anymore because we all know the truth and history. Please educate yourself before you choose to go, and consider spending your money elsewhere!

Spent the day with 4 grandchildren. (2 to 6 years of age) This park was perfect for us, as the adults could ride on most attractions with kids under 40 inches, and many rides were geared for 45 inches and above, allowing my 5 and 6 year old grandchildren to ride alone. Some reviews complain that it is way too spread out, when infact I like the treed setting and wide walking paths from ride to ride. The rides and aquariums are spread out throughout the park. Walk, see aquarium, kids look, ask questions then we move along and find next ride. Don't have to tear them away from the rides to see other features of the park. The water park was a definite hit on a hot and humid summer day and perfect for young children. Downside, with pandemic, many of the rides were not operating. We were told it was due to a lack of staff to operate rides and the uncertain opening date this spring, they were struggling to get parts for repairs. Didn't really matter with children under 8. They did the same rides over and over and over. Marineland is not as impressive as the Toronto aquarium or Canada's Wonderland, and likely would disappoint teenagers who seek rollercoasters and thrill rides (this is not that place), but for families with younger children, you get enough variety to fill a day . We arrived at 10am and the kids were able to do all the rides, some twice and three times, waterpark, visited animals and watch marine show. A fun filled day. The attendants were friendly, happy, and some even quite funny making the kids laugh. Sadly, litter from visitors had staff constantly walking around picking up after humans that are so inconsiderate. No excuse for throwing plastic water bottles in with the bears or popcorn containers in the fishpond, but people did. I'm not a fan of animals in captivity but I have to say, my grandchildren loved seeing the dolphins and the sea lions up close. And the programming was geared to tell them about the animals, with dolphins jumping and penguins swimming and diving. No regrets, it was a great day.

i would give this place a zero if i could. Absolutely pitiful how disgusting the tanks are and how little care and respect the animals get here. Let alone being practically starved to death. What a complete and utter disgrace this place is. Instead of taking your children and family to run down hell holes to go look at miserable and depressed animals in captivity how about you educate your children that this life is far from what they deserve and need to thrive in. Watching animals in 4K on youtube on your T.V you’ll get a better experience then going to this pitiful place. Be better and do better. By the way, all that black stuff in the photo is fecal matter build up in the tank from not being cleaned.

We had a great time at Marineland this trip. There were very few people in the park which was sad but made it even more enjoyable for us. We had the whale exhibit to ourselves for 20 minutes and the dolphin show was fantastic. We fed the fish and went on some of the rides and finished the day off in the splash pad which is fantastic. Some of the rides were shutdown or I would have given a 5 star review.

I don’t know where to start, it looks run down simply. We paid 33 dollars and all there is are one tank with 5 dolphins- no shows they simply swim and a second tank with a few beluga whales. No shops exist at all would have been ok if there was somewhere to fill water bottles but member of staff said there is nowhere for drinks

The splash pad is one of the kinds. Must visit. We spent most of our day there. The park only sells year pass which is not friendly to people like us who live far away and will only visit once a year

If you are from USA, fo you need a passport to go? Children?

Passports for everyone. I would not waste THe 200 dollars Canadian for 2 adults and 2 kids for Marineland. Lots of walking, not a lot to see or do. Even our granddaughters (6 and 9) were very disappointed.

What does the admission price pay for? Does it include shows, attractions, rides....
Written 27 December 2017
Yes. You will be able to witness all of the horrors that this place has to offer for one price. All of the needless suffering, and all the broken rides too, all for one huge rip off price :) good people don't go there and especially they don't take innocent children there
Written 28 December 2017
It depends on whether or not you are eligible for discounts. Without a discount, prepare to pay very close to $50.00 Canadian Dollars after the taxes are included in the daily admission price.

I don't see an option to purchase tickets for marineland through trip advisor website. Can I purchase through trip advisor website?
Written 5 July 2017
I wouldn't buy them ahead of time. The park has a big sign that read that they will not refund tickets if the park closes because of bad weather. There also wasn't ever a wait at the ticket booth. So I would just go to the ticket booth at the park the day you plan on going
