I rode the Aero Car because it was part of the Niagara Parks pass we got. It was a neat going out over the whirlpool, but not an absolutely essential visit. I wouldn't pay for it on its own. Stay away if you are uncomfortable with heights.

Metered parking by the Aerocar is free for people viewing the site. The Aerocar experience: traveling over rough water via a cable car (from one part of the Canadian side of the river to another part of the Canadian side of the river) is OK but not amazing. The views of the turbulent water at White Water Walk are more exciting. We were there in late October and the leaf colors were terrific. The Aerocar provided a great overview and photo opps of the colorful leafy scenery. I would recommend doing the Aerocar at this time of year - but would classify it as miss-able at other times of the year.

This is part of the many things to do with the Niagara Parks Pass. Hence it is included with the ticket and is one the many great things to do in addition to the falls. Great experience. The Niagara Park Pass makes it cost effective, is so well organised, makes it the best way to see all of the sights on the Canadian side. Which of course is the better side to view the falls.

We got tickets as part of the Niagara Falls Pass. We enjoyed the ride. The weather was perfect with no wind. The view of the whirlpool from above was worth it. The car is stable, the narration was nice to explain when we were crossing the internationaI borders and to point out the two landing sites for helicopters to rescue people who dare swim in the river (with a $10000 fine). When the car reaches the other side everyone walks clockwise to the opposite side of the car. We rode in the middle and just had to turn around. I am afraid of heights so rode in the middle of the car. I had no problems completing the trip. We also saw people sitting by the river on the American side, which we found out was reachable down a staircase at Whirlpool State Park. Overall, I would recommend this attraction.

Purchased as part of the Niagara Park Pass as encouraged by other reviews. We arrived at 12:10 and were the last of the 12 noon reservations to get in our holding area. It still took over a half and hour to board the aero car to ride across and back. Enjoyed the view of this horseshoe bend in the river gorge. The car operator did a nice job of giving information as we rode over. Liked that she had us walk to the opposite side for the ride back so everyone go the see the scenery and whirlpool from both sides of the car.

This activity takes no more than 30 minutes total if you already have a ticket and arrived just before your scheduled ride, so don’t plan your day around it. Instead, incorporate it as part of your tour of Niagara Parks (hiking trails, butterfly conservatory, etc.) or as your first stop on the way to the wine country. Book online at niagaraparks.com for a smoother experience - there are lines and no shade in front of the ticket office. The online page suggests you buy a $30 day parking pass for all Niagara Parks, but keep in mind that parking at Whirlpool Aero Car is free. The aero car takes you across the river and back in a single ride, and you will get to take pictures from both sides of the car as the passengers are asked to switch sides midway. The visit was easy, fun, and left us with lots of excellent pictures.

A great ride over the whirlpool area. Free parking is available on site. Going early during the summer months is advisable since it is a popular stop on the WeGo bus and various tour groups.

Pretty cool views as you cross the whirlpool area. Maybe not quite the churning maelstrom I'd hoped for but still impressive. If you've booked one of the attraction packages I'd do it on the same day as the white water walk and butterfly conservatory as they're all pretty close to each other.

Included with Niagara Falls Park pass, one of our favorite things to do! Owen was an amazing tour guide providing info and humor. Unfortunately many do not follow directions or pay attention, then they get upset about minor things. Kudos for Owen handling issues while being professional. A must do while in Niagara.

It’s a fun little ride above the whirlpool on the cable car. Was it worth the 1.5 off waiting in the que maybe not. Unique views that you can’t get from the gorge walls but you can hike down from the USA side which might be a better use of the time
