We were just passing by, not intention to visit the cathedral, but it was a great surprise the magnificent interior. Worth a visit by itself.

This church is quite modest by most Catholic standards, but there's an intriguing story where the windows were delayed and Canada's then Prime Minister John A. MacDonald - a staunch protestant - fronted the money for the windows for this Catholic church. It has a nice bright interior, and the priest was very friendly and informative. Whether you are religious... More

Majestic interior with nice, friendly parishioners. Lots of altar helpers & priests were equally nice friendly! Choir has an angelic voice!

I made my way to this cathedral while walking in the downtown Kingston area. I noticed that it was open for free tours so I went in. A very nice elderly gentleman named Bernie gave me a guided tour and he was very informative indeed. The stained glass windows came over from England, but had been shipped to the United... More

I have been around the Cathedral in and out since my arrival in Kingston in May 2016. If you are in photography and visiting Kingston, the Cathedral is a must. The gothic architecture is unique and you will have many angles to choose for around the building. From the front facade going to the left side (West) towards the back,... More

This is a must stop if you are in Kingston and there is also a Holy Door here for the Year of Mercy. There were information brochures for the Cathedral itself and for the Year of Mercy. The grotto with the Virgin Mary was incredible and must be seen to appreciate. You can say a prayer and light a candle... More

The Feel The Winds Festival was held in Kingston and I attended an afternoon concert at St. Mary's that featured works by Kingston composers. The space is grand which is needed for a pipe organ. The only problem was that the organ is behind the audience so I could not watch the performance. A large screen showing the organist's hand... More

One of the most beautiful churches in Ontario! Highly recommend visiting and attending a mass. Check the website for times.
