Living in Hamilton we are spoiled by having Chedoke as our Civic golf course. There are two 18 hole tests {Martin & Beddoe} that will test most every stick in the bag. The Beddoe which is a Stanley Thompson design has many risks and rewards, so it's not just a walk in the park. Today the course was in excellent... More

Beddoe is a nice course and was in good condition tee to green. Lots of ups and downs - a cart is highly recommended. The course has one goofy dogleg on the back nine where you had to hit an uphill shot to the 150 or 100 yard marker. I would have to guess that the top of the green... More

Play this course multiple times each year. Seemed like a late opening this year due to harsh winter but course in excellent condition now. Stanley Thompson design has mature trees, a number of holes crossing a creek running through course, interesting terrain, often see deer on the back nine. Par 70, so a couple par 5's short of regulation. Convenient.... More

Classic Stanley Thompson designed mature course nestled below the escarpment. Its hard to believe that you are in the middle of the city, especially when a deer walks across the fairway in front of you. Directional signage on the course sucks, so first timers are likely to get lost, but the course is well maintained with very interesting and challenging... More

Played the Martin course (they have 2 courses of 18 holes each). Full of moguls so you never know which way your ball will bounce. However, you cannot get into too much trouble as there is little deep rough. A couple of holes have cross overs from other holes which one should look out for. Also, a nature trail wanders... More

We recently golfed at the Beddoe Course in Hamilton, Ontario. It was horrible and terribly overpriced. It started with us having to wait 45 minutes for a cart. Then the starter showed up and proceeded to tell us to play "hurry up" golf. Really - as we are standing around for 45 minutes after our tee time because we didn't... More
