Great for repeat visits in all seasons

I go often, for short walks, for long walks, for just short visits sitting at the edge of a small lake.

This is a huge and magnificent property with an extensive network of trails through varied topography and vegetation. A real treat for repeated visits.

On the Bruce Trail. But many more interesting trails too for walking, or casual mountain biking. Nice in winter too. Cross country skiing after a big snow fall.

One thing about Dundas Peak is that it definitely did not live up to expectations. The hike that I took was not relaxing at all -- that is, this is the hike starting from Sydenham St. all the way up to the Peak. The terrain is definitely difficult -- myself and my roommate took a couple of falls. The view... More

Beautiful walk in the afternoon on the trails through dense woods. Trails are groomed often. There is a train station as the centre attraction with train cars. It is the setting used in the TV Movies of ''Anne of Green Gables'' from the 80's with Megan Fallows. Very pleasant afternoon spent here. Unfortunately they charge for parking. That is not... More

Have used this trail for thousands of kilometres of walking. Never fails to interest me. Regularly see deer, coyotes, different birds, plants, trees etc. Also see dog poop in bags hanging from trees, on the trail. Fair share of water bottles and garbage but staff is good at keeping the area clean. Dog owners please obey the signs and keep... More

This area has to be seen to be believed. It's absolutely amazing. The dep forested area of winding trails so close to Dundas and Hamilton is just stunning. All the trees, plants and little animals and birds are so enjoyable too. The hills are steep and challenging but it makes for a wonderful relaxing and yet enviroating hike by yourself... More

We brought horses and rode for 3.5 hours and it was such a beautiful experience. The trails are well groomed for both walkers and cyclists as well as for horses. The trees are so majestic and tall that they will take your breath away. The trails are gravel so easy to walk on but may be harder for wheelchairs, although... More

With its immense trail system, Dundas Valley is a great place to take the family, fido or even trigger (though we've only seen the horse poop so far :) We go there at least a few times a week to hike and walk the dog. There are more remote trails that don't have a lot of people so you feel... More
