Pier 4 was fun. I was hoping to go on the boat with our grandson but it was closed due to mechanical problems. This was a disappointment. The little trolley is delightful!

Amazing place for biking, and jooging, good to take kids out! Beautiful views of the lake, quiet family friendly area, Boats and sailing club is near by. Visit the HMCS Haida National Historic site which is nearby.

Pier 4 has more than a pier, I will let this image tell the story, a tramway takes you all around the bay.

There was not much to see there and we went during the middle of summer. We did take the tram that went around the park area. It was nice, but not very exciting.

The place is so vast, clean having long trails among nature that one can pass two to three hours enjoying nature. You can walk to adjoining park Bayfront Park too.The lake water, green fields, plants and trees make it outstanding place for few hours.

I don't remember seeing picnic tables but there are benches close to the path and a pavilion. If you go west towards Bayfront Park, you will find picnic areas there.
