1800's come to life here at Westfield

A wonderful collection of real buildings lived in and used in the 1800's. Great shows and enactments of battles of that time era.

We went i the evening for a nice experience. Staff was very friendly and answered all the questions we had. The fireworks were amazing, they spent a lot of money on them. Kids got to send a telegraph message to Santa and he telegraphed them back.

Inexpensive family activity: buy the park pass and return as often as you wish. Sometimes, we pack a lunch and go there for lunch and a stroll. By far, our favourite events are Halloween, Christmas and Syrup events. Would love to see more community partnerships with music and such. I believe Westfield Village to have the best, most dedicated volunteers... More

for a few weeks before Xmas, the place is lit by candles and low lighting, creating a wonderful atmosphere in all the buildings, as it demonstrates how they lived with limited light and cold weather. Then the carol singing rounds off a great evening with the whole audience singing enthusiastically with song sheets provided. The organist/guitarist than hosted and mc'd... More

We used to love taking our children to forts and museums. They grew up and went on, but we decided to try Westfield by ourselves. It was well done and thoroughly engaging. The famiies we saw appeared to be having a great time.

Went there in 2016 to take photo's of pioneer life. One of the categories in my annual Photo Contest was "Outhouses". I won this category with my shot of their 3-Hole Outhouse. It was looking very rustic with the door ajar and golden rod plants growing around the base. We also enjoyed the whole Village theme!

I have visted Westfield Heritage Village on many occasions and always have so much fun. Location is perfect , place is ran by very passionate and friendly people. Its not your typical museum . They have a lot of events through out the year you should take advantage of suchas maple syrup festival. Great place for family reunions.

Two words: CALL FIRST. When we booked our flight to the east coast of Canada, we specifically asked for a 12-hour layover in Toronto just so we could visit this village where much of Anne of Green Gables was filmed. Imagine our horror when we discovered it's only open on Sundays--closed during our layover! I called to find out if... More

We take in this history rich environment every year at Maple Surop Time in March. The guided tours are excellent and the Pancakes are stacked just the right size. It a wonderful experience for the entire family

I first learned about this place went I talked to two very active volunteers from this place at a Hamilton, Ontario historic site last year. In fact, during my short visit today I talked to three volunteers that were gardening by the gift shop. Despite being closed I walked around the grounds after giving a small donation by the admission... More
