Really lovely house that looks especially beautiful in Christmas. It's a different experience than Dundurn castle; more intimate in size and feeling and very interesting how it was in the hands of the same family for over a hundred years. I first visited Whitehern on a school trip who's guides made our tour a wonderful experience that I've remembered for... More

Had a tour with friends from out of town. It was a very enjoyable and educational experience. Our tour guide was excellent and the tour lasted much longer than expected. The history of the house and family was fascinating. It was a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

The house is perfectly preserved in the style of the 1930s. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the family that lived in the house. The gardens were beautiful and peaceful. It is a great escape from city life.

I just had my tea party themed bridal shower at Whitehern in the Stable but it was honestly so perfect! They supply all the tea cups and saucers, tables, chairs, linens and all the dishes! They were so kind and helpful during the whole planning process! I would highly recommend Whitehern. Such a unique space, I want to go back... More

Was trying to visit another attraction that was disappointingly closed when tripadvisor suggested this nearby place. We we very happy that we found it! We had a very nice, long and engaged tour of the house by an enthusiastic guide. I have toured quite a few estate houses or England it it was very nice to contrast what was occurring... More

I finally visited Whitehern after years thinking I must see it and it was a wonderful experience. It was like stepping into the past of the end of the 19th century and start of the 20th. I was lucky that I was the only one there at the time and had a one on one with the very knowledgeable and... More

Quaint little garden in the middle of a bustling city center. Gorgeous gardens and landscaping. I had my Engagement photo shoot done here and the pictures were beautiful.

This is such a charming piece of Hamilton history. A friend and I recently went on a tour of the house, not knowing what to expect. We both enjoy Canadian history, so what better way to enjoy it than in our own backyard? The guide was incredibly informative, and friendly. She had immense knowledge of the house, and it's history,... More
