The Peace Bridge is the only bridge that connects Fort Erie with Buffalo. It is often congested. It is quite solid though, made of riveted steel and reinforced concrete deck slabs. When I went for a walk on the Bird Island Pier in Buffalo, a walkway on the Niagara River, we had to pass under this bridge. It was quite... More

We are Long Islanders who visit Buffalo often see my wife's college friends. As such I have seen a great number of Buffalo's better known and "off the beaten path" tourist sights. I have driven over and under the Peace Bridge. The traffic on the bridge seems to depend on the Canadian and US Customs and how fast/slow they handle... More

Afternoon is the perfect time to visit this place. Watch out for dog poops though. 7 min drive from Old Fort Erie is a beautiful St. Paul Anglican Episcopal church.

This is the bridge we crossed to go into Canada. The immigration staff was very kind and professional. The views from the bridge were lovely.

Not really sure why the Peace Bridge is listed as an attraction, but it is an important feature of your cross border travel plans. Yes, there are lineups both ways on Saturdays and Sundays, but you can't show up at the start or end of a long weekend and expect to breeze through. They have excellent status updates and webcams... The bridge was a fantastic crossing. Traffic was manageable and the border crossing on either sides were quick and efficient. Beautiful view from the bridge as well

Into Canada or USA it depends on time of day. Google bridge traffic for up to date crossing times. Frequent users buy the Nexus pass and breeze thru.

This bridge is notorious for its lineups. Any writer's rating of this bridge likely reflects their experience waiting in line. I have crossed the Peace Bridge hundreds of times and on many occasions, refused to cross it when wait times were into hours and hours. Many travellers neglect to do their homework and don't know that there are alternative bridges... More

We like using this bridge when travelling, it is scenic and very easy to access in both directions. Does back up at times.
