A little piece of history in Brampton. Volunteers dress in period clothing and conduct tours of the house. They have event during the year; for example, Christmas craft sale, Mother Day tea, Dessert by Lamplight. I recently enjoyed the Dessert by Lamplight event with friends.

This is a lovely old home from the past which is full of history. It is well looked after by mostly volunteers who dress and play the part. They do it very well and spend many hours of their precious time at the House. There is an addition being added and this will make your visit even better.

Great artifacts, excellent in formation from the guide. I was able to take photos of the artifacts. Parking space is available. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Bovaird House. I was fascinated to learn that the Bovaird Family still lives in the area and they are in fact supporting the Historic House by adding upgrades.

Open to the public historic house in the centre of north brampton. Demomstrates what historical family life was like.

I hate to say this but what a waste of time. Yes it's a historical home in Brampton what does that really mean . I don't think any politician in Brampton understand the word historic. Brampton has become an absolute nightmare in the last 10 years there's nothing historical left in the city

A little hidden gem takes you back in time to 1850. A museum own by the City of Brampton but run by volunteers. Mother's Day tea in Mossie's Farm kitchen is a sold out 2 weekend event every year. Keep a eye out on the website for ticket sale dates. They also have Dessert by Lamplight and Loaf and Laddle... More

Old fashioned tea room, small menu, but unique atmosphere. Good parking. Turn back time there is no heat in the house so don't go on a cold day. They have special days like Mother's Day brunch.

Although I am a volunteer at the HBH, I was a visitor before I joined. The experience at the house one of a guided tour throughout the house, from the basement, (yes it was built with a basement and you'll love the history there), to the attic, (where the servants bedded), to the property with the decades old apple trees,... Bovaird House is a good example of a farmhouse that was lived in in the past and has been restored to enable upcoming generations to experience what life was like in that time period. With excellent volunteers with information that will transport you back in time. I recommend a visit back in time.
