Dooars is a very different type of forest in Bengal. You find miles and miles of grassland, pretty much like the Savanna, and that is what makes this place inhabitable by the single horn Rhinos, elephants, and a lot of other fauna species.

There are awesome River Beds, forests closer to Bhutan border as well as areas like Kalimpong, Samsi, Suthelikhola, Rocky Island, etc. Everywhere greenery and could watch various type of birds in the jungles. Dooars in my opinion is best tourism destination in beautiful Bengal. We divide Dooars to western dooars covering Gorumara Samsing Jhalong Suntelikhola and Eastern Dooars covering Jaldapara Chilapota Buxa and Jayanti. Chilapota is most dense forest in Dooars and a must visit. Jaldapara is forest mostly grass lands and ideal for seeing wild animals. Jayanti and Buxa the unexplored beauty... More
