Nice area to stroll around. It's an active port, so you see ships coming and going. Lots of interesting history along the way. Lots of shops and places to eat.

Wear comfortable shoes. Harbourfront has many stores and pubs and restaurants to explore along the way. It's the highlight of every visit to Halifax! It is impeccably clean and well maintained. Can't wait to come back!

Start at the seaport market and work your way up the boardwalk. If you’re lucky you might get to see a few cruise ships as well. So many great vendors for food, drinks, gifts, clothing etc along here.

A cornucopia of tourist attractions to include the Tall Ships that were visiting when we did, a great number of various restaurants, tourist souvenir shops, public entertainment with stage and great access to the harbor ferry to the northern side of the Seaway.

Yes. People walk their dogs on the boardwalk quite often. they have to be on a leash and you must, of course, pick ul after them. If your dog is cute (and aren't they all?) be prepared for the occasional petter.
