We walked through The Commons most days from our rented house and were amazed at how good the provision of sporting areas was for the lucky Haligonians. The oval was always busy at weekend or evening with roller skaters or cyclists or runners. Elsewhere were...More

Lovely community park in which this sight is located, contains mutliple ball fields, courts, etc. The oval is okay for roller blading, but it is obviously much better for ice-skating in the winter. Not much going on in the warmer months.

Nice to see good utilization of this venue. Infrequently the "city" provides a site that can be used by a variety of people. Skating in the winter, walking, rollerblading, bicycling in the summer. Free admission and free rental on a variety of items.

Although I'm not a skater but nice to see the city offer this family oriented site for free of charge. I have friends who visit the site often and it is heart warming to see the many families enjoy the outside skating in winter.
