HMCS Sackville, the last remaining Flower Class corvette in the world, symbolizes the extraordinary effort of Canadians seventy years ago during the Second World War. Restored to her wartime configuration she serves as a museum and memorial to those lost during the Battle of the Atlantic and to honour those who serve and continue to serve in the Naval Service of Canada. HMCS Sackville is berthed at Sackville Landing adjacent to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic in the summer and in HMC Dockyard during the winter.

Intersting tour with some of the guides dressed in the old sailor clothing. Interesting displays, although half of the announcement/ descriptions didn't play while we went through. Still pretty cool!

The Sackville is an excellent way to revisit how Canada's Navy played their part in the Battle of the Atlantic. There were many of these Corvettes at one time, but now there is only one. The price to go on board is very reasonable and...More

Great to visit one of the last remaining Corvettes. It doesn't take long to tour. The volunteers were very nice.

Besides an ICON of Halifax, I know friends that were officers on the Ship. Still amazing if you don't know anything about these ships. I was gobsmacked even though I have worked on Cruise Ships this nothing like it. WOW! is all I can say....More

This was very interesting to see that this was the past corvette from world war 2. Great history about the ship and the number of trips it took escorting supply ships to the U.K.

Taken around by a knowledgeable guide, the free to roam at will, we were able to climb on, look at, and learn about history. Great for kids too.

It was great to see a naval ship and learn about what it was like to fight at sea. Admission for a family of 4 was just $10-worth that and more.

This is a museum-ship. You can either wonder through the place on your own or a guide will accompany you

Historic vessel from the second world war, gives an insight as to the courage of the sailors who took this small boat out into the Atlantic to protect convoys, They must have handled well at sea. Well worth a look.
