We went to the art gallery expressly to see the Maude Lewis collection. It was superb, even with some missing, on lone to Yarmouth. The museum has interesting collections of Maritime art and the Michael Ondaatje Gallery is excellent.

I was amazed and in awe with how much local talent there is in Nova Scotia. The beauty of Nova Scotia really comes out in the art. Coming from the other side of Canada and seeing the art for the first time was breathtaking.

This is a very good art gallery even without the Maud Lewis exhibit, but the Maud Lewis exhibit, complete with her wee house entirely rehabilitated and ensconced in the gallery, is wonderful!!! The gift shop is full of Maud Lewis stuff and they're all wonderful....More
