From the outside, it doesn't look like much. The $4 entrance fee (after student discount) fooled me even more. After entering, I was immediately enchanted. Everything is presented so well. The exhibit designers were definitely professionals of high caliber. I loved how the Halifax explosion...More

We only had about 3 hours to visit and headed straight for the titanic exhibit. Rather than just rehashing the tragedy it tells it from the point of view of the town and those that recovered the bodies. It has some interesting artefacts that I...More

We visited Halifax on a cruise, and wanted to visit this museum for the Titanic exhibits, but there is a lot more to see. The Explosion exhibition was interesting, as I didn't previously know about this event in the history of Halifax. I also enjoyed...More

The natural curiosity of people drew many to the window when they heard the explosion. Definitely not a good place to stand under those circumstances! From the historical to the emotional, the museum relives the story. I walked away with greater awareness and have thought...More

An interesting place to spend a few hours. Good Titanic memorabilia. Not too busy on a Saturday afternoon either.

the titanic museum was disappointing. i was imagining because of the part halifax played, it would be a bigger exhibit. it was not. Not worth it. Halifax explosion was interesting but tv with movies did not have sound so what was the point???

There is much to see at the museum right on the harbor walk. Of course, lots about the Titanic, also, for those tourists like myself, much to learn about the Halifax explosion

We were there while the Halifax Explosion and the Titanic were featured. They were both very interesting. I also walked around the boat building area out back. I never have enough time to spend in museums!

It's well worth a visit, but maybe pick a day when there are no cruise ships in. This isn't a museum of big ships, more relics, models and ephemera. The lighthouse lense is spectacular to see up close, especially if you understand a little about...More

Had no clue the history of Halifax and the Titanic. Basically when the Titanic sunk the survivors were shuttled back to New York and the dead were taken to Halifax. There is(although didn't go to see it) a cemetery with those. This was a great...More

The museum was part of an excursion from Anthem of the Seas, all about the Titanic. Small but interesting display of authentic Titanic items. Entry fee was part of the excursion cost but I think it was only $9. Also a nice display on the...More

I took the time to visit the Maritime museum in October, 2018. The exhibits are divided by two major disasters that impacted Halifax, one directly and one indirectly. The Halifax Explosion is such a big event in Canadian History, but one that I knew little...More
