This part of Canada isn't called "the Maritimes" by accident. If you are interested in maritime "anything" this museum is worth visiting and spending a lot of time at. For whatever reasons I'm not a Titanic guy much, but the history of Halifax's relationship with...More

Great maritime museum. Got to learn a lot about the ages of sailing. Enjoyed the exhibition about the Halifax explosion.

Walkable from the cruise dock, my husband really wanted to see the museum and I didn't mind so we went in. The fee they charge (just under 10.00 CAD) is very reasonable. The museum is large, it has two floors and a large side area....More

We were interested in and not previously informed about the Halifax Explosion. The exhibit here was superb. Also lots of Maritime stuff that was less interesting to us, though of high quality.

I wanted to visit here because of the Titanic connection, but there was so much more. I would recommend this museum, just make sure you have at least 2 hours (preferably more!)

Really enjoyed the Maritime Museum. I found the Titanic and the Halifax explosion the most interesting. A must see when in Halifax for a historic perspective of the city. Loved walking out of Museum to the Halifax Distillery that was across the street!
